The grill and headlights are the same shape as the contour.

No they're not. Grilles are shorter and wider and the headlights sweep back more into the bodywork. That's why it's so damn difficult for people that want Morettes to put them on a US-Spec CDW27.

CDW27?

I Love the Cowl! Only thing I would change about the cowl CF hood that we have is that little notch in the front of it, other than that I think it looks great!

You need the mondeo grill in order fit the lights to fit yes, but the curveature of the grill and the lights below the hood are the same, that why teh hood will fit the mondeo. Looking at QWK98SVT's car with the morrettes, the hood seems to fit fine over the grill, the only gapping seems to be on the fenders on the outside of the lights(thats what the pain to make them fit is and the reason u have to modify the rad support to if I'm correct). For the record I'm not bashing QWK98SVT's car.

The hood isn't shut thats why there is a big gap.

Aaron

Open or shut...the hood does not fit perfect, it's not even close. It is atleast 1/2" to 3/4" too short from front to back. It is also not as wide as the oem hood by about 1/4" to 3/8". My original hood fit perfect all the way around with seams of only 1/8" on all sides. The cowl hood has left me with huge gaps on all sides. The worst is in the front like you see here. From what I have seen everyone that has this hood has the same issues with gaps. CF1 claims they have no control over this and they don't know if a car has been wreched or not...some will have bigger gaps then others was the responce I got . Modifying the grill mounting bracket to enable it to be pushed back about 3/8" to 1/2" is the only way to close this big gap in the front that I can see. Loosening the fenders and pushing them in will reduce the side gaps. While I like the overall looks of the hood (I do wish it didn't have the little dip in the middle) I'm not happy with the fit at all. And yet they use my car on their web site and in their adds to sell this hood...never even asked me

IMHO...I like the look of the hood with the scoop better on childukes car.

Hardly any CF hood fits right, especially for us since we don't have a huge variety of companies making products and competing for our business.
