That's basically the make or break issue for me at this point.

I am ordering BAT shocks, there isn't much debate at this point, however, I am unsure of whether I should order the springs with it too. I've done a little poking around and I haven't found a clear cut answer as to if the camber kit is necessary to get proper alignment with the BAT springs installed.

This is my daily driver and I'm not too interested in modding it very much; so in other words, if the camber kit is necessary (or highly recommended) I just wont bother with the springs.

No clear answer really.

The BAT sport springs bring the camber adjustments to near the limit of tolerances after an alignment, but still within factory spec. If your car is out of wack just a little, you may need the kit. I picked up a camber kit on Ebay for under $90 for both sides.

For longer tire life, better handling, and adjustability I think the camber kit is worth the money, even if the car stays within spec.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I think the consensus is, worth it, but not absolutely necessary. A lot of people went without them on the BAT kit. Since the price dropped, I think they've become a bit more popular.

I got them because I wanted the adjustability for stuff like autocross, not because I felt the car would be ruined or out of spec without them.

Hrrrmmm....if the camber degree stays within factory spec with the BAT kit installed, I'm not worried at all. I already experience outside tire wear due to my driving habits so I'd more than likely benefit slightly with a touch of added negative camber.

My reluctance is with the fact that I don't want to get sucked into another modding bug. I went waaaay overboard with a previous car (can you say credit card debt?). I don't want to run into "to install part A, you'll also need part B, but part B throws part C out of wack, so part D is also a good idea..."

thanks for the replys

I had to install camber plates with my BAT kit. The camber was just a bit too much and my soft performance summer tires wore extremely fast and hard on the inside edge of the tire until I installed the camber plates to correct.
