I've done that on every new car I've ever owned as well as kept service records on everything from light bulbs to washer fluid. Of course that all went out the window on the Contour when the 2.5 spun the rod bearings...

My '96 S-10SS sold for $2k over book and my '95 Neon sold for $1.5K over book because I had such complete records and took care of the vehicles. I also sold an 89 Dodge Lancer ES Turbo for about a grand more than book because the first owner kept great records and I continued from there with my own. It pays to be anal!!!
