I just got my new speakers for the front. I plan on installing them tommorow. To install them I believe I will have to take out the whole door panel? Its held on by screws on the sides, are there any hidden ones? plus once that is out, I can use the stock wires right? thanks, I'm really not electrically inclined

there are screws on the bottom too. as well as hidden ones behind the pull handle (the one you pull to close the door). you have to CAREFULLY pop off the long horizontal plastic piece and there are screws behind that. just carefully tug on the door in different spots and you'll find everything. remember, if you feel like you will have to force it (pull hard) then something is still in there.

yes, you can use the factory wires. i was actually quite impressed how thick they are for stock speaker wires. im not sure which is the positive and negative though, if it really even matters..

supposedly, if putting in aftermarket speakers you should bypass the factory amp so it will sound better. that's located right behind glove box.

ps remember to connect the speaker wires to the speaker terminals REAL good cuz that is a spot in which they LOVE to come disconnected. nothing like having to pull the door panel off again to reconnect the speaker
try to solder them if you can, for the strongest/best connection. it's very easy to do and you can buy the materials for next to nothing.

I know its a little small, but those lines comming out of the door are the screws, hope it helps

- 2 on bottom
- 2 on outside edge
- 1 on inside edge
- 1 by speaker grill (under screw cover)
- 1 on inside of door handle assembly (under screw cover)
- 2 under the center portion of the door handle
- 1 in the sail panel

Yes, you should be able to use the factory wires, the only tricky thing might be drilling new holes to mount the speaker if it doesn't match up to factory locations.

Scosche makes a harness to bypass our stock amps? specifically for that? or were you referring to something else?

A tip for removing the small caps on the triangular trim nr the wing mirror is to drill a small pilot hole in the centre of the cap. Then screw in a screw a few turns and you can pull them out easily. Spare caps are only 8p each over here in the UK so I'm sure they will be minimal over in the US. This way you don't ruin the triangular surround which costs a fair bit more to replace.

HOlly Smokes!! Turned out I already had speakers!! Rockford Fosgates I didn't know I had speakers!! yay!! I'll check the rear ones and if those are stock, I'll change those. I'm soo happy!

I use to tell myself jeeez..the stock speakers really aren't that bad..hahah turns out they are rockford fosgates!
