Well, I noticed the heat soak when I installed the KKM, but thought it was a common side effect with the open air element. But, I just recently noted the discussions that have been had on the heat shield, and when I tried contact the custom heat shield guy in Colorado, his email didn't work. So, since I'm new to the CEG thing and moding my baby, (1) where can I get a custom heat shield, (2) how much power do I lose without it in extreme temp's (Houston summers get into the 100's easy), and (3) how often do we have to clean the S&B Power Stack so as to not compromise the engine (I've never oiled and cleaned it, and I've had it on for about 9 months since purchase)?

Any help would be great, since I've sifted through the archives and come up with contradictory, piece-meal suggestions. . .
