Ouch, indeed!
I just got the quote for replacing the clutch assembly. It's $375 for the after-market parts but TEN HOURS LABOR. The hardest clutch job he's ever seen, he says. Their telling me $1050 out the door and it won't be done until Monday afternoon. Oh, plus another $85 to replace the brake fluid, which is due. The car has about 70K miles on it. Any thoughts?
A bit of advice: If this happens to you, do not operate the clutch pedal. I pumped a bunch of fluid onto the driveway in my ignorance.
