Pressure plate - 98276
Clutch disc - 892576
Thanks for you help.

Those are not Ford part numbers, or if they are, they are not complete, so I can't tell.

As a clutch wears and the disc gets thinner, the pedal effort increases. It is a very gradual increase so it is usually not noticed until the clutch is replaced and the pedal suddenly feels lighter than you remembered. There is an exception in that there are some Ford trucks that have a pressure plate that self adjusts to compensate for the disc wear. Except for those few, all clutches are that way.

Thanks, Jim.
Dang, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning, too.

The steering free-play was caused by a loose pinch-bolt. All is good again with me and my csvt.

On Friday I noticed a clunking noise on slow-speed turns coming from the right front. It is, apparently, a loose strut mount at the shock tower. But they did not have to drop the strut to replace the clutch. So why would that happen?
There is also a brake fluid leak, now. Jeez, I hope for their sake that it isn't a defective slave cylinder.
I took the car back to the shop this morning and I'm waiting to hear from them. Any advice?
