unfortunately I cannot take credit for this little trick because I did not come up with it but it still worked so I thought I would pass it along.
For those of you that do business on eBay a lot, you notice that the amount of Non Paying bidders has increased. here is a way that will get a lot of them to pay up
Use a secondary userid for ebay. Contact the non-paying bidder on eBay using the secondary id. Give them some long story on how you have been searching for this item for a long time and you were unable to get it. offer them a price that is considerably higher than the ending price of the auction and say you will pay shipping charges too if they will let you buy the item off them.
9 times out of 10 the non paying bidder will be thrilled thinking they are going to make easy money that he/she will decide to pay you for the item thinking that they will get double what they paid for it. After the non-paying bidder decides to pay you, just stop all communication using the secondary id.
it's a great method and it really works not to mention that the non-paying bidder will get pissed at you secondary id and there is nothing they can do about it.

that's a pretty good idea, if it'll work. have you actually tried it yourself? ive had 3 non-paying bidders, on fairly expensive items, in the last month!

They do, so you'll need a different CC # and may have to have a different name/addy listed on it to bypass their stuff.
My old boss got banned, and they wouldn't let his card number be registered to more than one account.

the point is, you make the non-paying bidder think taht someone will pay them more money for the item, and allow them to make a profit. what your doing to them is not ripping them off, you are merely making them pay for an item that they agreed to purchase in the first place. plus it teaches them a lesson and shows them how you feel when someone wont pay!

Ehh...id rather just be honest. I mean, your only out .35 cents for an auction, and sometimes less than that if you list an item on a discounted days. Ill cut my losses and just leave a negative feedback. If the seller is that concerned about the negative feedback, they can end up paying me anyways, and have the negative feedback revoked.

Ok, so I think I get it:
They win auction and don't pay...
You have another account and say you will pay whatever the cost to have this rare piece of treasure...
They actually buy the item from you...
You don't respond on another account.
That seems like a good idea that would probly work...
