A job was done recently on my throttle body by a fellow MC-NECO member, here are the results. I have no estimate on any HP gains, probably next to none but it does look cool.

Looks good! Any idea why they didn't use counter-sunk screws while they were at it??

yeah, this is still on my "to do" list. I just don't have the balls, and I really shouldn't be spending more money...although it's only like $35 (w/ core exchange) from bnoon... good work:D i'm jealous

You should've blended in the internal step down rather than have it sharp as shown in your pics.

Didn't knife edge the leading edges. Didn't cut enough center rod out either IMO. The shiny part is pretty to look at. Off the car... :p Hoosier. I can answer your question. No. No amount of optimizing a 54mm TB with make it a 60mm TB. Outside of boring it out and installing a new throttle plate. Provided the casting has enough meat to go that much bigger of course... (which is doubtful)

I think Hoosier wanted to get a SVT TB as a "trade" for his SE TB...

SE TB will not count as a SVT TB core return. The purpose of a core return is so that I can make it again for the next guy's car...
