DemonSVT-- Auto-Rx actually *liquifies* the carbon, and it does this slowly over the course of 1000's of miles. It's nothing like the *risky* engine cleaners loaded with harsh detergents you run for 10 mins in your oil and drain. Even on well maintained engine's that use Synthetic oils you still get a buildup of carbon on the ring packs. Sludge prone engine's (Toyota V6's and Volkswagon 1.8's for examples) and badly mistreated engine with heavy sludge build up have had great results with Auto-Rx and I have yet to hear of so much as even 1 story of engine failure due to a clogged oil pump while using Auto-Rx. I combed through Bobistheoilguy and Auto-Rx forums looking for horror stories or someone to expose it as yet *another* snake oil. I had the same *well earned* sterotype and apprehension as you do. I found nothing but positive feedback and questions. The FAQ on Auto-Rx's website is quite through and covers almost every conciveable logical question that would come to mind before using a product of it's claims. The forums elaborate even more.

I highly respect your knowledge and skill when it comes to cars. Your one of the first guys I'd consult if I had a problem or needed something answered. I dont believe in miracles in a bottle either, but Auto-Rx from of own personal application and countless testmonials from others (including several indapendant oil analsis labs and guys who know enough about oil to bore a chemist to tears) this stuff is the real deal.
