You didn't size the hydraulic pump & motor correctly then. A hyd pump/motor will be ineffcient if turned at too high of RPM. You typically don't want to spin both more than 1000 RPM. You should check out Parker pumps & motors. There are different types of pumps and motors too. Gear pumps tend to be affordable but they are inefficient. Piston pumps are very efficient but expensive. You also have vane pumps which seems to be the happy medium. You can also run pumps in tandum for high & low rpms. Again, probably over kill but I'm sure if sized properly, you can run a blower hydraulically and economically and efficiently.
