Twisted6 - do you have the dyno plot on the Mazda 6? What I'm trying to see is if the gains (hp & tq) are all under the curve or just a spike at high rpm.
Thx

on a vehicle like ours and like the 6 with uber restrictive precats i would have to think that the gains would be fairly broad, not just a spike at peak rpm.

Those definitely look like they will fit. I can see how they made more room for the alternator by looping the #1 cylinder pipe over the #2. Good work.

Here is the MD dynograph: http://wagnermotorsports.net/graphics/headers/mazda6_headers_dyno.jpg Those who check the website originally linked to will see they have upped the retail price to $600, but the group buy through RPM (one of my forum vendors) is going on. Check the Group Buy forum for that information and pricing. Again someone get their 'Tour down to Wagner and verify fitment, the GB won't be available forever.

I am calling their shop tomorrow about checking fitment. The only problem i have is that i don't have the cash for headers right now.... I think i would feel bad checking fitment then being like 'oh hey guys thanks for seeing if they fit but i don't have the cash for them right now, and i probably won't have the cash for a while so i'll see-ya later.' How involved is checking to see if headers fit? I really don't know enough about the engine to hazard a guess as to the time required to do it.

I hate to try suggesting this now, but would anyone care to start a new thread about the possible hybrid of Mazda 6 headers for a duratec and continue this over there? I think it'd make it much easier to follow.

Wow I can't beleive I just now am seeing this thread. Those headers look pretty good. After cruising around there site, they seem to make some nice stuff, but were are those TT 3.0 Mazda pics, all I saw were 4cyl pics . The only thing I don't like about these headers is how they did the port matching, looks just like the Junk ITS stuff , and IMO is taking the easy way out. Should have done the Duttweiller/ADC way. But other than that, should be a good mod, but what y-pipe will they fit? Figure that into the cost, if they fit stock than your all set.

if these guys are smart business men, they should be happy to test fit them no matter the cost or labor! if it does work they just opened up an entire market that they probably don't even know existed. they would be business brain dead if they passed on this! for that matter if all they have to do is change 1 or 2 flanges, the majority of their jig will still work therefore, it would cost very little to do headers for both the 6's and v6 tours. lancastersvt....if you are close, PLEASE GO DOWN THERE!

I just noticed that the listed price on their website now says $600 a pair. So, in comparison to the msds headers, they aren't that much cheaper any more. Also, material wise, these are cheaper to manufacture than the msds since no Y-pipe in included. And, no one knows if they will bolt up, or if the gains will be the same on the 2.5L set up. Has anyone givin them a call to question the fitment on our block, or in our cars period? Granted, they are SS, but what grade stainless? I think we need more info, or someone needs to call them before we all get excited about this.

I agree about the $600 price tag. Especially considering that you could sell the MSDS y-pipe and make back a few bucks.
