when I modded my exhaust I wanted headers also butt with other mods and stuff going on I couldn't get them. This is what I did:

I took out the manifolds and took them to my friend jeff's exhaust shop (He makes custom exhausts on the side for customs and race cars). He gutted them did some other crap to them and some grinding to the ports. I had also gotten my sho stainless y-pipe from sp motorsports. I then sent the maniflods, y-pipe and pipes to Jet hot and they ceramic coat them inside and out. This improves exhaust scavenging and flow to make some hp(don't know how much though).

We put it together with magnaflow resinator amd mufflers full stainless welded the whole system and capped it with borla tips. came out great and sounds awsome. It has been over a year without anyproblems.

Not sure what it netted but it was an improvement. other than an svt upper intake, injen cai and dyno tune I went from 124.6 hp126.1 torque to 150.157hp and 152.87 torque with an atx.

I would have probally done the headers if I had the coin but I wanted to get my other projects done. Although I am happy with my current set up. I wish I had numbers to prove
gutted, ported and coated headers( total cost $50 to jeff about $110 to jet hot for the headers)vs headers just for the cost factor alone.
