#1 From the front give me a 98 + Mystique, but I don't like the trunk. The 98 + Contour trunk looks better.
#2 is the '95 YA Mystiques, I normally hate white cars but the YA's just look great.
#3 would be the SVT.

Sorry, I would never have considered a Contour if it were not an SVT. Even then, I had to drive it before I was convinced enough to buy it.

When people ask what kind of car I drive, my answer is always "SVT Contour".

Not trying to step on any toes, just my personal opinion.

My thoughts exactly.

Anyone who thinks that any model looks better than an SVT is full of it. It's pure denial.

One you get a chrome strip, the other ya don't. Is it that big a difference to you?

Come on y'all, admit it, the 1998 and up SE with stock Ford wheels is a much cleaner, and overall better looking car than any of the early/late Contiques, and especially the over pimped SVT.
Why put all that skirting and fluff on a good looking vehicle.
I think the Black is the best.

This is just my observation, I know some will disagree.

What do you think?

Nah. Just ATX's.

I have to admit, if there'd been an SVT in '96, I'd have had to consider it. I considered the SHO Taurus, though, but I thought it was too expensive, along with the Nissan Maxima SE, which had been on my wish list for a long time. Anyway, I was not interested in any Taurus that wasn't a SHO.

Anyway, looks-wise, 1) SVT, 2) Early SE (close second), 3) who cares after that? The car looks awkward and top-heavy without side-skirts. Tall bubble roofline needs more meat on the lower flanks for balance. And those narrow steelies with the skinny tires make the body look bloated. I'm not saying the cars are bad, but there are some design issues with this car that the extra bodywork really fixed.

Hmmmm..IMO
SVT better looking that early SE which is better looking than late SE.
SEs have "receding chin" without SVT airdam
I do like early SE trunk/small spoiler slightly better than late SE/SVT trunk (and the wing on that is unattractive)
SVT side skirts about = SE side skirts
Do not like early SE headlights at all but smaller grill looks cooler than later SE grill.
I like E0 wheels better than E1s (but not as nice as ST200s I'm adding this weekend).
Actually, I like all 4 SVT colors...hard to pick.

Optimal...SVT with early SE trunk and ST200 wheels.
But any Contour is still a nice looking car, and has aged better than most stuff from the 90s.
