Hi, I have been wanting to mod my xbox for sometime now but I don't know where to get a chip to do it. I do know that I need evolution x software and all that good stuff for it....and what else?

i did try that but I got a lot of stuff that didn't actually sell chips.

I agree xbox scene for everything, I bought a box from a fellow scene member. Nice setup with Avalaunch and media center Over 300GB of storage and direct copy features. I could add another hard drive (external) via a usb port installed next to my control port. It was basically a travelling media center....

I have been looking at pre-installed xboxs for a couple of months because I may possibly get one in the future but the prices to me are rediculous! $400-$500 for an XBox with preinstalled chip/hard drive and software...why so much??
I could build a PC for that price...

I could build a PC for that price...
because you can 'backup' games and play them all region free (import games) and also have emulators (old NES, SNES, etc...) on them, along with media centers and many many many other options. i still don't know if i would go for preinstalled (DIY isn't that hard at all).
