Ok let's get the "Going Direct" conception clear! I will be that person you say, "Going Direct!" There will be no other source. The reason I'm not mentioning the my Dealer I work with is I don't want them to receive unnecessary calls regarding the cams or manifolds! All ?'s will go through me.

If there will be another source it will be of someothers efforts to make cams. Again as was mentioned this is to discuss ideas for cams/IM's input, ect. Discussion of price will not be considered in this as we have no clue at the moment what things will need to be used in addition to the cam or Manifold! Like Terry mentioned direct acting buckets will work with higher duration cams and finger followers won't be so effective. This is basically what this discussion is for.

When you "regrind" like that Terry, don't you have to reshim/adjust the followers? Or do we have hydraulic tapets that take up the "slack". If that is so, then would we be able to se more lift then? Duration wouldn't change right, with only a base circle grind?
That would be a cheaper alternative for sure.

I can see increasing valve lift by gringing off the back circle of the cam working very well. But that brings one question to mind.

Would that constitute a clearance issue between the valve heads and the pistons? Is the duratech an "interference" engine, where if a vlave is left open and the piston is moved tword TDC, would the piston contact the valve?
