we might be down to 49 i walked out of my job yesterday), and i should be starting a new one at the end of this week...but i'm not sure how they are going to feel about the vacation from work, considering the length of time i'd be working....i'll find out soon though...

i was kinda in the same situation, started working a few weeks ago, I just said I had a previously planned trip and it was all set up and that I would be out these dates and it wasn't an issue, then again I am not getting vacation pay either, well not yet so in a way it doesn't matter

i would just be honest and upfront and if they have a problem with it I would say I wouldn't want to work for em anyway
I mean its over a month away and you would be telling them now about, not like you dropped it on them a week before

I agree, I would state it up front that I would not be available those days.
I would not necessarily expect them to be considered paid time off (they may not pay you for those days) but I don't think its unreasonable to expect them to allow you those days off.
