I keep seeing a brand of receiver called "Dual." Anyone have experience with these? Any good, or cheap crap?

imo, crap. somewhere between pyramid and audiobahn.

Too new to fully be determined but they are very feature rich with cool technology and good looks.
Anyone have any idea who the parent company is? I figure at the prices they are charging along wit hthe retail outlets that are carrying the brand it has to be better than the crap - Kenford, Legacy, JDL, Pyramid........

Parent company is JENSEN!!!
They are Horrible theres a Reason there high end if you wanna call it that is only 150 bucks.
WOuld you put a jensen in your car? No? its the same thing just diff look..

not much better. they also sell home a/v equipment and their reliability is total crap. i would buy used before i bought a new dual.

Of the 3 head units that went out our door for insurance replacement in the last year (yeah can you believe somebody actually would steal a dual?) 2 had to be swapped out for warranty replacement.
So thats a 66.6% failure rate right there. not too good of a track record.
On another note Jensen has been improving greatly. They were bought out by Audiovox which is one of the top makers of mobile video equipment. I have actually been quite impressed with their pro amplifier line. But I don't think they will ever recover from the bad name they have made for themselves with the crap from the past.

i think a 2.5" screen sitting at the h/u is worthless. velcro one of those handheld tv's from radio shack onto your steering wheel.
