I love the way light plays in fog though - so I ahve to say I think the fog should stick around.

I wouldn't mind the fog so much if it didn't trap the smog.

Off the Topic a little, but I really hate people/drivers who believe they are king of the roads. The other day I was doing about 35mph down Broadway (Big 4-5 lane street down here) and some couple started to J-walk and the dude held his hand out for me to stop! Of course I slowed down a little, but he had no right to J-walk in the first place let alone try to tell me to stop for him and his lady... and the other day I pull into a parking lot and try to turn left but some lady was on the wrong side of the parking lot road and I almost hit her and she looks at me like I'm crazy! That happened twice that day If the other person is in the wrong, they have no right to look at me like I'm the bad driver...

Amazing, isn't it? What is it that makes people that drive SUVs and trucks think themselves invincible in bad weather?4WD doesn't help a lot if you hit a patch of ice while driving too fast. That's my biggest pet peeve about Utah drivers. Except maybe the cell-phone soccer moms in mini-vans...

True, it won't help you while you're going too fast...... but how else do you optimize your splash pattern for school children and the other bus bound folk?

True it does endanger many, many people and it goes against common sense for the most part...... but those cute little furrowed brows, bright red screaming faces and the little fists that shake in the air (sometimes with an exposed digit )...... makes the end justify the means.

What's with UT drivers sharing lanes? I drive 3 miles of Foothill every morning and I can count about 5 vehicles that cross over the lane lines. Did UT teach in driver's ed. that the lane markers are merely suggestions?

I hate that. How hard is it to keep the car between the lines? My favorite one, "OMG! Its (insert weather condition) I have to go REALLY SLOW. Half the posted speed limit should keep me safe. Hey! Why is that guy riding my ass? He should be happy I am keeping him safe as well."

'a beautiful, sunny day' can also work as the weather condition.

On the other hand, its snowing!

My favorite is the "sweeping lane change" on the freeway, when they're driving at 65 in the fast lane in a minivan, realize they need to get off at the next exit, and cross all 4 lanes in one motion. Blinkers are optional.

The worst spot for this is southbound I-15 just north of SLC, right by the Beck Street/I-215 offramps. I can't count how many times I've almost died there...
