As a biased fan I must say that a lot of you are talking smack yourselves. How mant teams in NFL history have won 2 of 3, soon 3 of 4 Super bowls. They blew away one of the "Best" offenses to ever play the game, then shut down the #1 defense, seems like a repeat of the 2001 Bowl when they played the "Greatest show on turf" as 14 point underdogs and beat them.

2004 15-2 (and counting)
2003 16-2
2002 9-7
2001 14-5

54-16 in 4 seasons. Come on, show me a team that has that type of record over 4 seasons, in the salary cap / free agency era.

Bill Bellichik 9-1 ties Vince Lombardi for best record ever in post season, 1 more and it's all his.

Tom Brady, un-defeated in playoffs and all overtime games.

Yes I am from Boston and Damn proud of it.

p.s. if you slam this post, "NO DISCOUNT FOR YOU!" says the parts nazi.

Whatever. I don't recall them playing any schools that rejected your application. j/k

Now, I really am serious. I assume you are a 'Huskers fan. What's the word around town about your current coach and lack of success? Anyone thinking maybe they fired a better coach than the one they hired? Is there a general sense of panic, or "wait and see"? I've heard the natives are restless.

Not really a fan (not a native), but I will play along. It depends on how you gauge success, or lack thereof, when you consider such for Bill Callahan. If you consider losing while running a system for which you have 0 players a lack of success, then I suppose you'd say Bill Callahan is quite unsuccessful. Similar parameters of success would also suggest Callahan was very successful in taking the Raiders to the Super Bowl in his first year as coach.

Solich was a bum (outside of football also) who may have been liked by his players, but he was not a good coach. Whether or not Callahan is any better remains to be seen. Callahan and his crew sure seem to know how to recruit though, as they're raking in top-ranked position guys all over the place.

I usually don't talk Husker football, but I got the feeling that you were jumping on the hate-Nebraska bandwagon because they had a losing season (their first in 40 years or so). So I thought for once I might defend them.

Not to ruin the thread any further, but don't the Huskers have the number 1 recruiting class, thus far?

I know they're number 1 at certain positions, but I think 3 overall.

Oh ya, 2 more things they have done that "I" did not mention.

21 straight wins, most ever, damn Pittsburgh!

The Super Bowl champions, with just two losses in their previous 30 games, had scored first in 20 consecutive regular-season games, 23 straight including playoffs; another record.

No Davo, no band wagon, just wondered what the word on the street was out there. Hard to get the right picture from the talking heads on ESPNRadio. I know Callahan is getting good recruits, but a lot of fans these days don't want to wait for sucess.

I will say this, if Solich can win at Ohio, he ain't bad.

Anyway, I kinda wanted this to come full circle with the thread topic. I am already hearing some Steelers fans saying Cowher's gotta go. They need to be careful what they wish for.

Oh yeah, one more question for eveyone to argue about...Tom Brady is already a two-time Super Bowl MVP. They win this year, how will you rank him with the best QBs of all time?
