Funny thing is, Randy wasn't like that when he was at Marshall. Lots of coaches and players said his work ethic was great, and he was a positive influence on the practice field.
I really think he has a serious problem with losing. He didn't lose much in HS, great in 4 sports, and he didn't lose much in college either, including an undefeated season.
Oh yeah, I will be the first to admit that he is a first-class [censored] to most of the public (although he does a lot for kids, behind the scenes, that doesn't get reported). But he didn't use to be such a distraction.

Wow, must be a really classy guy if he quits crying when he gets on a better team.
You missed my point. What I wonder is if what he did was overblown in the other situation.

How are you measuring this "hard running"? Or is this just a fanboy observation?
Payton leads the NFC in rushing 5 years in a row and Chicago's record during that time was 40 - 36. This is only one year in NE, if things aren't to Dillons liking we'll hear from him again.
lol
If I was a fan, it would probably be a fanboy observation. It just reminds me of the situation we have here in Detroit with Rasheed Wallace. He was termed a "cancer" and disruptive, and generally a bad guy. Put him in Detroit, and the reality of the situation comes out. He is one of the best team players in the league, he looks to pass before shooting. When digging into it deeper, people noticed that more than 50% of his technical fouls were the result of arguing calls that went against teammates. Also, you won't find a teammate of his that will ever say he was disruptive. But, according to the press, which he didn't have a good relationship with, he was practically the anti-Christ. I'm not saying Dillon was playing any different than he ever was, but now everyone seems to like him.
From a casual observer standpoint, he appears to be punishing people at the end of runs instead of trying to evade them.
I don't think I understand the point of posting Payton's numbers?

I hope not. I like him up in Minnesota where he is guaranteed little playoff success.

Rumor mill for a long time has been that Randy wants to play with Chad Pennington again.

I bet Chad would love to have that other Moss join the current one.

It's part of the comparison between the two. Payton played on some pretty poor teams and was stiil able to put up Hall of Fame numbers.

Dillon put up very good numbers with the Bengals. Did someone say he didn't? IIRC, he even broke Payton's single game rushing record.

You think? They played one year together at Marshall. Chad threw 24 TDs to Moss that season.
