I'd put my money on San Francisco's team from 1989 against either one of those teams. Excellent defense, outstanding O-line, the best WR of all time, probably the best QB, one of the best FBs running in front of a solid RB. There was not a single position on that team that needed improvement.

Davo, you just are plain wrong on this one. The Patriots are doing something remarkable given the effect the salary cap and expansion has had on the league. And Tom Brady, well, what else can be said? He wins the Super Bowl, and he will have won 9 consecutive playoff games, tying Bart Starr's record (and these are Brady's first 9 playoff games, period.)
Another point on last night's game...I wonder who the Patriots missed the most in that earlier loss to Pittsburgh, Dillon or Branch? Branch was on fire last night, 157 total yards with 2 scores.

Wrong about what? That the Patriots aren't the greatest team ever? Though it is subjective, there are probably a lot of people out there that agree with me.
I'm not saying they suck; they are indeed a good football team. But please don't throw the 'Greatest Ever' talk around like Dick Vitale.

I wouldn't say greatest ever, but the words Dynasty and Top 5 should definately be used with this team.

Payton vs Dillon
Payton Played 12 years Rushing yards 16726. Average 1393 per season. (First 3 years in the league were 14 game seasons) Receiving yards 4538. Average 378 per season Total TD 125 and just for fun 8 TD passes!
Dillon Still playing, 8 years in the books so far. Rushing yards 9696. Average 1212 per season Receiving yards 1585. Average 198 per season Total TD 66
Not even in the same league. Let's not forget that Payton was a class act and Dillon a cry baby!
