Yesterday I cleaned my EGR passages out, and also cleaned the throttle body. I disconnected the spring under the cables and forgot to reconnect it when I was finished. I then drove around a little while and noticed that the throttle response was great. While I was driving and noticing this, I remembered that I forgot to reconnect the spring. This is why the throttle response was so good. So when I got back home I reconnected the spring.
The question is what does that spring do? I liked the added throttle response, but the spring is there for a reason. What is the reason?
Thanks.
