we did a b&m shifter, i really like it. except its got a billet knob which is always too hot or too cold. cat delete pipe is rad too, makes it quite a bit louder though. i like the sound but some dont. and the gains were not that great, seems to pull a little bit more on the top end but might have lost some torque. still to basic to justify dyno time to us though.
btw: idk if this is your only car but jumping focuses is just retarded, they are GLUED to the pavement, its like the entire car is a wing or something, i love it!

why does the svt focus throttle body sit right there, was the other spot not good enough? thats weird...
I can see the CAI's giving that much power on another car. Its not that they are so good or special, its just that some cars are really restrictive stock.
So you aren't gaining hp, you're freeing it up.

Yeah, I just scored a Steeda shifter. Mod #2 soon to be installed. The billet knobs are a PITA. The look so damn cool though. I don't know if I'll do the cat delete. It's plenty loud enough for now. Yeah man, this little hatch really sticks to the road. I'm amazed that a hatch can handle like this! Go SVT!

It always amazes me how much some of those CAI's can go for. For the price of a CAI, you can buy a gasless MIG welder and the mandrel bends to make your own, then take some left over pipe and weld in a cat-delete pipe too. Sure it takes some time, but dang! $200 for a CAI!?!?!?!?!

Exactly. My CAI didn't cost me $200, I paid half that including shipping. Also, it's aluminum. Most people don't have the ability(I know I don't) or time to create their own especially out of aluminum. I know I couldn't duplicate it for under $200.
