haven't you had your car running with alot of power for a while? Or do you still have that axle problem.Plan on getting axles when winter goes away huh  Just remember the groung hog says it will be 6 weeks.

Im not sure if anyone has ran slicks yet, but many people have ran drag radials. Most of which have broken their stock or DSS axles.
I had a minor axle problem. My DSS stage 2 axle tripod came apart from the housing on the dyno and had to be sent back for being defective. I just recently got it tuned and drivable.

I have slicks, but haven't used them for drag racing, just Auto-X. I don't like working on my car more than driving it!
As it is the close-to 300hp I put down has destroyed the front bushing on my drivers A-arm, so that has to be addressed. Pole120 and I are working on making poly bushing inserts similar to the roll-restricotr mod he has been making, to see if that hold up better. Ideally, spherical links would be best, but from working i the bearing inductry - happening upon a set that matches the dimension we need will be a miracle.

Stazi awhile back I was talking to Robert Mumm about making modifying a set of control arms for my csvt to use rod ends. He said he thought they made a set from a pair of stock a arms but then made the chromoly units they ran on the car. I know the subframe needed to be modded to except the rod ends, but I don't know to what extent. I have 2 bolt front control arms and I'm still kinda interested in making it work or just making new control arms from scratch. I could maybe hassle Robert some more about it andsee if they have anything laying around anymore from the cougar? It'd be worth a shot
