I don't understand why you aren't running with snow tires! If you don't have a second car, spring for the 5 bills and get snow tires. Much safer in the winter, even with 1" of snow.

Had to push an early 90's Volvo Station wagon, RWD, with summer tires up a hill. instead of pulling ton the first lot down hill she tires to go up the next one. I bail on her at that point.
Other than that, I stuck to back roads where I was alone except for my girl. It was very beautiful. My $900 93 Nissan HB 4X4 4cyl, was worth it's weight in gold.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I moved into my new place last weekend. Made two trips with the car Sat. morning. Was about to make a 3rd, but by then the roads were pretty rough. Almost didn't make it up one of the hills on the way back - passed a few people who were sliding backwards.
Sunday I had a box van with all my big stuff in it. Even that was sliding around a little.

Colt Turbo!!! I forgot all about those. Kind of like the Dodge Omni Turbo, one of the original compact tuner cars.
