Well I drove my Colt turbo to school on thursday and the alternator went bad so I left it in fredericksburg until I could install a new one which was this morning, in the snow and ice. Little background on the colt: 2400lbs car with about 300hp to the wheels and nothing to weigh it down in the back. So I was driving on a highway after the install on route 17. About 2in of ice on the road and I come up a hill doing about 40mph and I feel the rearend start to slide to the right. I let off the gas hoping it would catch but it still was going to the right so i cut the wheels slightly and gave it some gas hoping the rear would pull out but it was too late. Did a complete 180 in the middle of the highway and sliding off the other lane while I stare at my brother who was passing me from behind and just shaking his head. I went off the road across the other lane and just turned around and drove home. Thank God no one was coming from the other direction or I would have been toast.
