The stock Y pipe is insulated for that reason,early tests on CDW showed high oil temps but as most pople wont fit an oill temp gage or fit it in the wrong place, they never know,50% of this engines cooling is via the oil.The Modine style cooler is not enough when you mod the motor,in the worse case an oil/air extra cooler is needed with an oilstat..... wink
