That does not sound good then. Maybe I'll just stick with the SPEC clutch then. I was reading over previous post in the search and a lot of people like them but seem to have a issue with chattering. Any more info from anyone. Thanks.

I think Rick had a clutchmasters too, iirc. Regardless of what it was, it wasnt a SPEC and it blew out. SPEC is the best bang for the buck for this car, not to mention, the highest tq rating.

Actually I had a RAM clutch that gave out at 240ish whp. The problem with it was it was a Kevlar clutch and not broken in as well as it should have been before hammering it. I ended up going with a Spec stage III and have been happy with it.

Yes, mine is a stage III, like Buckshot's... Chatters a bit on take off and gear changes at first, but then ya will learn what RPMs to be at for it to be smooth. I can drive this car as smooth as an auto if I get it all right.

I have a Spec Stage 1 with a spec flywheel and it does chatter. It really isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. I have an open intake and a loud exhaust and I can barely hear it at idle...
As far as I'm concerned the chatter is the only downside. That an the Stage 1 is a MUCH lighter clutch than stock, so there will be some learning to do.
