dont overlook the fuel injector wiring harness!!! they are a known problem with these cars

Well bro's..some closure.

I changed the wires out...still missing. Cahnged the coil pack...good to go.

I guess the symptom that I really should have paid more attention to was that the misfire didn't come on slowly or gradually...just one day good and next day terrible. That should have indicated to me (at least I'm thinking) that a failure of some type had occured.
