If the salesman "misrepresented" the car you have many recourse actions at your disposal.

"SVT" is NOT a "trim level" or a "package"

It's a completely separate build (and VIN) of the same chassis. Basically a base V6 Contour that is finished with specific SVT parts and VIN code.

You can not "make" a car an SVT. Either it was built as one or it was not.


Also no SVT EVER came as a slushbox.


I'd go get ALL your money back and a VERY good deal on another car after that illegal practice they used on you. If you want to stay with the Contour/CDW-27 (we seem to like them) at least make it a manual.
