i have a set of blacked out svt rims i'll sell ya!! first of all you need to take your time and prep the whole rim, use some wax/chemical remover BEFORE sanding, failing to do this and you could actually sand the chemical/wax in,after cleaning than depending on condition, some light sanding or scuffing to ruffen up the surface so the paint has something to stick to,also it might be a good idea to use some type of adhesive promotor, they sell it at wally world,i'm assuming your using spray paint??? if so the only good clear coat in a can i've found is at wally world, its like triple thick clear coat or something gives a nice deep smooth look to it, the key is to not rush, and not put to much on at once,or you'll get fish eyes and orange peel.....good luck
