oh hell..i thought it was just a matter of splicing into a wire or two, didnt realize you have to put in resistors and other crap too. Might need to just drop this idear and not do the side markers  .
its very easy, all you need to do is add a resistor, the show two but, one should be fine, just make sure to get the right value.
