I had a terrible time with the front struts. the rear was easy. The SVT springs have so many coils I was never able to compress them enough to take the cup off. You were lucky. I had midas or maybe it was meineke do that for me. But I replaced the ball joints while I was at it so that might help in the future when I replace the struts. And since you have eibach pro-kit springs dont listen to anybody about your struts wearing out faster. They are made to work within the parameters of your stock struts(SVT or SE) as you probably read on the eibach website. Of course the higher mileage u have the better the chance for worn struts.
