I think the Des Moines group is me, Kingpin and Buckshot (trailer).
I'm going to IA the night before (95% sure)....do you (want me to meet me along the way and you follow me the rest of the way to Des Moines?? At least we'd have three Tours and Rick's trailer.....

it appears Doug will be going with us as well....(XKontour98)....hopefully......you can talk to him about sharing a hotel if you want.....unless you've already worked out something with Kingpin.....
so right now...we tenatively have 3 Tours going to Iowa the night before to hook up with Buckshot/Kingpin in Des Moines:
1. slingersvt (and buddy) (driving 98 C-SVT)
2. 98_HO_Contour (what are you driving?)
3. XKontour98 (what are you driving?)
Anybody else want to change their mind and go down to Des Moines the night before?????

That's not really the decision I made. I'm going to Chicago for Memorial Day weekend, so two trips in two consecutive weeks was not possible. And yes, international soccer is more important than Spring Zing.

Lets see how cheap we can get it if us 3 guys share a room. I would have to leave Rochester around 4:30 AM to get to Des Moines by 7-8.

I'm not actually on that end of town. We're meeting up right off the interstate so it's about a 20 minute drive for me to get there. As far as hotels, look up the Bavarian Inn on NE 14th St in Des Moines and that's probably your best bet for a hotel that is cheap and about 10 minutes from the meeting place plus about 1/2 mile north of I80

Both, did you see my post about meeting at Bosselman's in Altoona? It's a big truck stop in Altoona, IA about 5-10 minutes east on I80 from where you'll be staying.
