It depends on when you're leaving and who you want to caravan with really. There will be a group leaving Des Moines Thursday morning early or I'm assuming James and Mike will be leaving sometime Thursday from the Cities so you could run with them. The Des Moines group will be hooking up with another group just east of Chicago and then travelling as a pack to SZ. I'm not sure if James is planning on meeting up with everyone there or just seeing us at SZ. James, care to hop in here?

Our plan is to leave early Thursday morning and to take 52 to Rochester, then 90 over. If we can put the logistics together, I am hoping to meet up with the Caravans (the Iowa and points west and the Chicago guys and maybe some from points south) near Chicago (we need to get that firmed up) and continue on to Ft. Wayne.

We will likely have other MN people with us, unless they are heading down to Iowa in advance.

We need to get the meetup time firmed up, so we can plan departure accordingly.

Thats great, I pass by that almost everyday. Before you get to 90, there is a road about .5 mile before that would make an ideal location to meet up. How many will there be in the MN caravan?

We're still feeling that out. I know of two for sure, and then I don't know the other plans (will they go down to Des Moines or join us?)

We do need to get this all firmed up though... it's not that far away. I'm just worrying about my trip to Indianapolis for the RX-7 before I worry about this one 4 weeks later.

Ok, so there is 5 cars (including myself). Not bad but is there any other minnesotans coming?

Also, were we still going to meet the Iowans around the I-39 and I-80 junction. That seems to be pretty good, at Peru, Illinois

"According to my calculations" ....It looks like it will take ~5.5 hours to get to that intersection from the I-90, US 52 intersection. Then another 4-5 hours to get to Fort Wayne. If that helps any, BTW I used Microsoft Streets and Trips.

If you're rolling from Minnesota rather than coming through Iowa, then we will be meeting up with everyone at the Chicago hook up.

Question: Are any of you MN's interested in meeting up with Rick, Davo, KingpinSVT down in Des Moines??

My own preference would be to drive the extra couple hours and hook up with them.....I've got a cousin in Des Moines so some of us could stay at their place on Wednesday night or something......otherwise if the majority rules and you'd prefer to meet them at that designated location in Illinois then I'll just do that. Let me know.

Who's all going from MN????

Mike
