I don't know any answers to anything. I don't even know how a car works. There's something about combustion chamber, and the mixture of gas and air does something to rotate the crank. I know there's an exhaust and intake and the headers and the latter are made in a way that there's an equal distance from each cylinder or something. I know that Ross' ride is rice and slow and I know that my tach with a shift light is essential for my car's performance

Yeah, I should know these answers... and I bet I have read answers to them before... but so many people here have 98+ Zetec contours... and I dont know the difference between the 98+ Exhaust manifold setup compared to the Pre98 exhaust manifold... But ive always been taught to ask questions, and get as much information as possible, because when I dont, I end up screwing something up.

well it might be the same for pre-98 contours as the difference between mk1 and mk2 mondeos. on the mk1 mondeo zetec the cat is down under/behind the engine, on the mk2 its just under the header on the front of the engine. however, zxtuner headers/decat pipe fits both mk1 & mk2 mondeo's.

regarding the cat, to make the header work better either have no cat, or use a high-flow cat (having no cat will give you problems with emissions laws but you may know a way round it ). using standard cat with the performance header will still give you a nicer sound but probably no performance gain. you could put a resonator in instead of a cat for more back-pressure.

We dont have emissions tests around here... So as long as I can keep the CEL off, and a cop doesnt ask me to pop my hood... I should be alright...

That'd be a sweet manifold to use for a home-brew turbo kit!
