I just got back from ATI (Wixom, MI)--about a 2 1/2 hour drive one way. I took my car there to have the rear subframe boxed in since I have an Aussie bar. They installed their own custom piece and it looks great. It's a small heavy gauge channel that is welded into notches they put in the subframe. I can't say enough about Rick and Mike. Mike's the one who did all the work and was very meticulous and precise with all that he did. It probably took him longer to do the job than someone else, but who care's when it's done right. I'd recommend them to anyone who needs this done. And a big Thank You to Roger for recommending them to me. (They did remember you and The Striped SVT.) No one around where I live could have done the job nearly as professionally as ATI did. I'm very satisfied.
PS. While I was there, I saw and heard this. Awesome!!!

NO problem Tom and I'd like to mention what they charge, since everybody thinks they're sooo expensive...$200.00 for the rear subframe upgrade! Can you say cheap piece of mind

I think it's a heck of a good price. Mike took the whole day (no complaints from me) to do the job and it looks and drives great!! I am pi$$ed at myself for not taking any pictures, though. Those would have been great to show the old brackets, one of which was broken, and the new MUCH improved ones.

There was a video of all this on here once upon a time, but I can't find it.

I made a carbon copy of ATI's subframe mods on my own subframe. I slit the subframe and welded in new mounts. Turned out awesome and cost me NOTHING!!!!

How much does this stiffen up the rear and reduce understeer? I'm not sure if I can just box in the rear or if I need to upgrade to a 19 mm as well because right now understeer is my only large enemy (aside from traction and wheelhop)

The boxed in mounts help keep the bar in position, the thicker bar will help the understeer problem.
