You guys who succeeded with tinting your car: did you have to use a heat gun/propane torch on the side windows?

I am not sure if I "had" to... but I certainly did use it..
Helped tremendously.

take the glass out!
when i tint door windows i remove the glass, clean it very ver y good, first with ammonia, then several times with soapy water (ammonia removes tint glue, so it cant be used as the only cleaning method)
have a friend help you!!! its nearly impossible to handle the tint yourself without getting creases or it sticking together
use TONS of soapy water, have it DRIPPING wet!
after the tint is on the window i roughly cut close to the edges, then squeege out ALL the water. spray soapy water on the outside of the tint also, it lets the squeege slide better. i let it sit ofr like 10 min then use a brand new razor blade to cut around the edges so the entire window is perfect.
let the window dry for at least several hours before putting it back in the car! it started raining after i tinted the 4th window, so after about 20 min of drying i put it back in.. the tint got really messed up and now i gotta re tint it!
ive probably wasted at lest 6 rolls learning to tint, but now i can do it perfectly using the window removal method!

caltour, should you decide to get it done rather than do it yourself i used a great place on the newport beach/costa mesa border. if my profile has been approved in the registry then you can see my pics there.
