I was looking under the hood and noticed a black tube (seemed similar to the blue one that comes with the BAT intake kit) running from the right of the filter down and I can't see where it ends (haven't checked under the car yet). Do all SVT's have these? What would you do if you got a blue one from the BAT intake kit? Would you replace the black plastic tube with BAT's blue one? Would the BAT one be any better?

The black one just routes air from the fender well behind the fender liner. My bat remote air kit showed up tonight, but i didn't get around to doing the hose. The bat kit is designed to route air from the bumper directly into the end of the filter.

There is a baffle of some sort on the fender side that you can pull out and still leave the underhood part attached. A tleast i believe there is, but i don't have an svt. I know there is one on my SE.

But to answere the would this do any good question, probably not much. I have been logging the intake temperature signal and even on my stock se it was dropping close to ambient temp (prob 15 degrees above ambient) even at moderate speed (35-45 mph) and climbing back up when stopped or slowed. So in short once the car starts moving you are pulling rather cool air in anyway. But i'll post my findings once i get the hose routed.
