I beat the game one XBox. You get the widebody kits after winning 11 outrun races on level 5 (after you unlock Coal Harbor West). The widebody kit is available for every single car, too. After you beat the game (beat Caleb), every widebody kit (along with everything else) is available for each car in Quick Race mode. The Celica is somehow the fastest car in the game with unique engine mods, unique ECU, and unique NOS, IIRC. The 240SX is the fastest car in the game with all Stage 3 mods and before any unique mods or tuning.

The cars I used throughout the game were:
240SX => Tiburon => RX-8 => Skyline

Surprisingly, my RX-8 is quicker than my Skyline in a drag, even when the RX-8 didn't have all Stage 3 parts and the Skyline did. The Skyline is a much better all around car though, IMO. Another sweet thing about the widebody kits is that when you convert them to carbon fiber, along with the trunk, hood, side mirrors, roof scoops, and spoiler, the entire car is carbon fiber except for the roof and pillars.

Here are some crappy cell phone pictures of my Skyline and RX-8:

On level 5 after winning 6 outrun races I got a unique widebody kit...gotta win those other 5 and see what happens.

I been way too lazy lately, I could've beat the game like 1 month ago...

I got a ?...

Anyone play on XBL?

Either we have really bad lag and it causes the following, or people can cheat:

Seems like if we build up an awesome car (like a Skyline with all the mods, tuned properly), it always gets beat by something like a Celica or Corolla (which does handle damn good). From what I've read on a few sites, there's a way to cheat off the line, but that doesn't explain why we get our ass stomped on a circuit race (like the big one that's all highway) by 3 or 4 minutes. There is no way they can have a car that drives like that. In the Skyline we can max out at 217mph (must be a 10,000 RPM rev limiter) w/ nitrous, usually going around 170/180 w/o nitrous and dropping to around 150 when going thru turns. When we build up the Celica we can do about 150 normally and just breaking 200 with the nitrous.

Would a lagging ISP cause the problem? I remember back home that playing Halo 2 you could spot someone lagging b/c they would jerk around. Out here on this game, all opponents jump around like they're using hyrdos. We are also thinking they may be cheating since when we finish, it should calculate out the real winner, which we are still way the hell behind. Anyone got a clue?

they cheat no doubt

I played NFSU 1 on PS2 when it came out online and guys were finishing drag races ten seconds before everyone else. Now its laggy no doubt but I believe they are cheating their asses off...

I know there have been problems with people cheating in Halo2, so I wouldn't be suprised if it happened there too.
