Good to here your recovering from your mishap. Last summer, one day after my last day on pain killers for my 4 wisdom chompers taken out, I had some stupid woman at a driveway panic as she attempted to pull out into rush hour traffic and as I proceeded I went right into her bumper. One of those persons that wait half and hour to find the perfect exit at their comfort level
Of course, like you, a scratch to their bumper and I had 5,500 in front end damage. I got a facelift lol, well more like a whole new face. I got new headlights, grille, bumper & low end valance, hood, and everything that connects the outside of the baby to the engine. I have so many ppl ask me how well kept and clean it looks because of the new parts. Ive had people ask me if it was a 2003 and 2004 Contour.
If they only knew. I love people sometimes. There was some positive out of it....all of those new parts. I was needing a bumper treatment anyway.
I hate all those high driveways, messed up parking lots, and cement parking blocks that scrape the underbody of the front bumper.
I do not condone getting in accidents for insurance money though
