I have thought this over time and time again... I've had the Cougar, and the red CSVT (before I got rid of it) registered and insured in CA for the past 5 years that I've been in AZ. I've also held on to my CA driver's license!
There are a few reasons why I have done this. First being, insurance. I cannot insure an AZ car under a CA policy, its AZ law! I had tried this when I first bought the red CSVT, and failed miserably. Even if this would (or would've worked), it would be a mess of paperwork, more money down the drain, and just a pain in the rear. Not just that, but CA rates are by FAR lower than AZ for a guy in his mid 20's.
Now my second reason (probably should now be my first) is that I plan on permanently residing back in the Bay Area within the next couple months!!!
Hope this all made some sense!

You got to let me know where that place is. I want to redo my exhaust (HF. Cat, Headers and Cat back) but am afraid of Emissions testing. PM me with info if you got it. If anyone else has info, please PM me as well. I'll drive to Nor Cal if I have to, but I prefer to stay in So. Cal
