Thanks for the advice, but the pipes do need expanding, just a very little bit but they need it. A friend was over earlier helping me remove the old exhaust, and we tried everything. Filed the edges some more, checked all the ends of the pipes to make sure they were straight, sprayed them with wd-40. Tomorrow morning I will call Autozone to see if they will loan me an expander if not my local muffler shop will take care of it.
