I had some fitment issues with my trubendz kit too. Don't waste your time with the clamps, just weld it together. I had some fitment issues and one of my tips had to be cut off and rewelded properly. Their customer service is great. I would def. do business with them again. Mass producing stuff will lead to fitment issues, and they are great about resolving these issues.

In the end I had a very positive experience with trubendz. Let them know what is going on, and I am sure they will help you out.

You are forgetting the demand for a Mustang cat back is much greater than our cars and has a bigger market. My trubendz fit fine except for one pipe so i took it to a shop and the guy welded the whole system on the side for $60.

Ummmmm no I am not and that why I said this in the same post you quoted that part from.

I know the more quantity of something a company makes the cheaper they can sell it for. So paying $340.00 delivered wasn't a shocker considering the limited number of kits Truebendz sells, but for that price I also expected better quality. You would think small production might get you better quality.

I just think the title of your topic was a bit much, on something like an exhaust system as it wasn't based on the actual performance of the product, but because of a few slight imperfections. Whe someone answers "not good" to me on a question - I usually expect something bad to be happening.

I honestly think you came off as a little harsh because the thing couldn't be assembled without a little effort.

An exhaust sysem I would label as not good would be the Bosal as people had to have those SERIOUSLY adjusted with cutting and welding and shaping - for a $700 cat-back!

I'd dread to see your reaction if you had bought one of those - I'm thinking you'd be out on a shooting spree!

I emailed them yesterday I will see what they have to say. One thing I want to make clear as of right now I AM NOT saying don't buy Truebendz.

Maybe I did come off a little harsh but basically my point is that I am dissapointed in the quality and if you buy this kit don't expect to open the box and bolt it right on. I guess I am lucky or whatever you want to call it, but look at this from my point of view. I have bought 2 other "bolt-on" catback kits in the past and both I had zero problems with quality or installation.

To me that means a broken bolt, the use of a BFH, bloody knuckles, a few beers, and some swearing which is a typical install for most "bolt-ons". It does not mean buying / renting / paying for a pipe expander.

How hard could it have been for Truebednz to check the pipes after they expanded them to see if they did a good job / did their job right, before they shipped them. It only took me about 1 minute to see that 4 pipes were not going together without some more money.

Stazi I think about some guy that barely has enough tools to change his oil and thinks "I wil buy this bolt-on kit, a set of sockets and hook up my car". Fortunately for me that is not the case, but I wanted to make people aware of the fact that my kit wasn't a true bolt-on. Next time something like this happens my post will read "buying a Truebendz cat-back you will probably need a metal file and a pipe expander."

Well I had the same issue with my Borla cat-back, not the TruBendz one. Fitment wasn't as good as I expected from Borla but it was no biggy. The area where the pipes split apart in the car opened up too wide so the tips were pressed against the opening in rear bumper. They had to be heated and pulled in closer towards the center.

So it's not just TruBendz, it's others also for those of you thinking TruBendz isn't any good. It happens.

My tips are too wide on my Borla. I have been meaning to get it fixed.

I received a reply from Trubendz (Josh) he is standing behind his product 100% and is going to make things right with the exhaust he sent me.

I will let you guys know how the install goes (hopefully I won't need any bending).

Hey SVTDarin where do you live in Kennesaw? What color is your SVT? I might have seen you around here.
