My roomates and I pay $285 each X 4 people= $1140 including utilities expect cable/phone/internet. Its a 4 bedroom 1 bath tiny kitchen and small living room, and is one of 4 apartments in a large college house. Nothing special but its one block from campus and it works.

Actually I get paid about $8 to live here.
About a 160ft² room with a large bathroom, large kitchen (for an apartment), 2 ~30ft² closets. If I was married, I would probly get a 2 story townhouse type place or duplex, or if I lived off base, they would pay me like $600 or so toward the rent.
Also a survey done of 100 towns in the US, this town (Great Falls, MT) ranked as the 2nd lowest cost of living.

Now that's nice! I'm paying $400/month rent w/ utilities for a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. 4 guys and 1 bathroom at 7am when we all get up for class= disaster. It's cheap, it smells, I think there is lead in the walls, I share my 10x10 room with another guy, our room's colors are MSU's school color, white and green...yeah it's just a great old time!

$250 a month for a 900 sq ft house, 2br, 1 bath. But, I love in the ghetto. Which the ghetto in Columbia isn't nearly as bad as the ghetto in bigger towns. And I rent from a lady I used to work with. I'm about to buy the house. It's worth $30k, but she only wants $15k.

About $3,600 per month mortgage. Don't even ask. I have some other property for sale that should dramatically reduce that.

You & me both...
I have two houses about three blocks from the water. One my Mother lives in, it's paid for. I carry a 150,000 mortgage & pay 660 a month. That includes taxes & insurance. Lovin' life!
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Welcome to Somerville, MA.
We're actually getting a deal since they could get away with $2k/month.
That's pretty rough, is it a house at least?
My sister pays $2000 a month for a 2BR walk-up (5th floor) in Manhattan, and that is a good deal.
I bet the 2 bedrooms are the size of his closets, literally
