Please look below at my mods. I believe I have basically opened up the exhaust for all it is worth money wise except that I have a single exhaust. I was thinking about having the shop split my exhaust into duals and ordering another matching Magnaflow muffler but is it worth it for the price of the muffler and exhaust, or is a single exhaust about as good as a dual?

If you want open, gut the pre-cats. More bang for the money.

For SVT's it's kind of a must, cos youhave the cutouts in the rear bumper, but in you case I wouldn't bother, not unless you want to go all out and get true duals.

Forget the duals, do the mystery mod or get the headers, instead of the cat-back, for about the same price. Single should be enough.

my 2 cents worth:
I thought for a long while about having a custom single exhaust put together. I spoke to several people including borla snd msds. The guy at msds put it best with regard to fabrication. Crush bent (most muffler shops and my factory exhaust) tubing effectivly reduces your pipe id by 1/2" so 3" crush bent is equivalent to 2.5" mandrel bent. As far as the number of bends goes, he said if you can drop a matching diameter ball in one end of the pipe and it rolls out the other the exhaust gas wont care how many bends it passes.
Based on this, i gather that a manderl bent 2.5" system ALL the way back along with a good resonator and muffler should get you about the same numbers a good quasi-dual catback.
I was mainly looking for a stock (aka sleeper) appearance. I decided it would have cost me as much or more to build a custom system using high quality parts from magnaflow or borla including the mandrel bent tubing and fittings etc, as it would to just buy the borla or the brullen.
UNF, i placed my order for the borla before i read about the brullen, may do a borla vs brullen dyno test after i get my msds headers installed.

If I may, I'll tag another question on here, what about sound from a single vs. a dual? Will a single have as good of sound as well, assuming good parts are used. I'm interested in this as I face the same dillema till summer.

The sound can be close with either single or dual.
Personally, I like duals for the LOOKS.
