He is not wiring it INTO The radio as far as audio sound is concerned, and he is also not wiring it in to the CIGARETTE LIGHTER either..
he is wiring the CIG LIGHTER PLUG (that comes on the end of the power cord for his siruis radio) to the ignition wire that powers the radio upon KOEO setting. You simply took key words from his, or my, post and read what you wanted to read..
Judge, FWIW I agree with the soldering, in fact I would probably tin the wires, and use a barrel hook to ensure the connection then shrink wrap.
