well that sucks... all these mods and 160 hp to the wheels. id imageine the stock 2.5L duratech with intake/headers/exhaust would pull those numbers even on an ATX if its 170 crank stock.... With these mods i was hoping toward 185/185 and with nitrous 230/230... i guess its just not possible for us cougar owners... maybe id have to go more indepth and get the heads pnped? but i wouldnt mind, runnning open headers all the time

I need to make a correction from brapples post that I didn't notice. I don't have the headers.

Those numbers really don't suck. First you can't go buy Fords 170hp #'s since not every contour dyno's the same.
For example some svt's where 180hp stock and one ran 190's stock. I work from what I have to start with.

example: my stock #'s where around 120hp and 130's tourqe (I almost shat myself), way below Fords numbers. since I wasn't going to buy another car this is what I had to work with. The mods I used netted me around 40 more horses which from a performance standpoint is a real improvement. I'm happy with it because the mods worked and the car is way better than before and with the speed limiter out I can keep up and even beat other cars.

What I would do is get some base numbers, check your budget, and go from there. Don't be disapointed if you don't get the same results has others, you might get close but you also might like what you have achieved at that point and then see where to go from there. best of luck.
