what would trigger them??
mine just turned on but everything seems to be fine.
will it illumintate if pads are worn down??

I think that means the ABS isnt working. Check your fuses.

The ABS fault light doesn't indicate thin brake pads.

It does indicate something is wrong in the ABS system, such as a sensor problem, or pump problem. Get it checked out.

I've had this happen a few times to me, but that was when i had the zetec. Did you slide causing the ABS to engage then the light came on? When my abs kicked in, it blew the fuse every time.
